I've thought that it would be interesting to put together a high school science course based on things science fiction writers get wrong.One example would be the large number of stories that have civilizations built on the inner surfaces of Dyson spheres, in perpetual sunlight, held against the surface of the shell by gravity.

an academic economist, teach in a law school, have never taken a course for
credit in either field.
Interests include poetry, medieval cooking, science fiction and fantasy,
computers, and much else.
